Innovation Fund: In mid 2020 (June/July) the EC is planning to launch the first call for small-scale projects. The planned budget for this call is up to EUR 1 billion. Small-scale projects are considered projects with total capital costs under €7.5 million which can benefit from simplified application and selection procedures. European Commission (DG Clima C3) highlighted that project ideas can already be sent to the Commission to be reviewed/discussed if these could fit the 1st call for proposals.
Please, prepare your inputs about projects financing needs you might have (1 page per project). We will brief you during the webinar, and we will you’re your project ideas as inputs to the European Commission to feed into the design of the first Innovation Fund Call for Project (planned in June 2020).

Horizon Europe: The EC is currently working on the Horizon 2020 Green Deal Call.

This specific Call will have a budget in the order of €1 billion and will be directly relevant to the objectives of the European Green Deal. It aims to produce tangible results, visible to citizens, in a relatively short time frame. There will be a limited number of proposed actions, supporting primarily innovation and demonstration actions. The call is currently at the initial discussion phase and the EC intends to engage in a stakeholder consultation process within the next 2-3 months.
