MEP Simona Bonafè (S&D) visited Larderello (Italy) on Monday January 8th to meet with local geothermal realities.
The visit was first carried out at the Enel Green Power geothermal plants, and then continued with a meeting and roundtable at the CoSviG headquarters.
“Geothermal energy is not just a source of renewable energy,” said the MEP, after her visit. “To these territories, it provides vital economic development. We have a duty to make it increasingly a ‘resource’, with the use of advanced technologies and in consideration of environmental and landscape sustainability.”
