As a partner in the European GreetGEO project, EGEC is pleased to invite you to the international workshop “Strategic Innovation Agenda for Geothermal Exploitation in Europe”, organised by COSVIG–DTE in collaboration with the GreetGEO project partnership, which will take place on 21 July 2026 in a hybrid format, with the possibility to attend either in person in Florence at A. Fanfani Meeting Room of Palazzo Pegaso or ON-LINE.

The workshop will bring together public authorities, representatives of the scientific community, industry stakeholders and sector associations to exchange knowledge, discuss market opportunities and identify actions to accelerate geothermal development across Europe.

Participants will gain insights into:

  • Benchmarking data on European geothermal value chains;
  • Best practices and case studies;
  • Innovative and replicable business models.

An interactive roundtable discussion will focus on the priority actions required to strengthen interregional value chains, innovation ecosystems and regulatory frameworks. Particular attention will be given to improving governance, supporting regional cooperation and increasing the participation of SMEs in geothermal innovation ecosystems.

The workshop aims to support the development and deployment of both deep and shallow geothermal energy across Europe.

The initiative is organised with the support of the Regional Council of Tuscany.
