The European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) has officially addressed a letter to Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, commending Croatia’s leadership in geothermal energy and outlining key steps to scale up development across the country and the European Union.
The letter follows the Geothermal Investment Forum Croatia (GIFC 2025), where Prime Minister Plenković reaffirmed his government’s commitment to accelerating geothermal energy. Croatia has made significant strides, with a strong regulatory foundation and ambitious plans under the Geothermal Energy Development Plan to 2030.
