EGEC, the European Geothermal Energy Council, has appointed Miklos Antics, GPC Instrumentation Process (GPC IP), as new President.

The appointment comes after the tragic loss of EGEC president Ruggero Bertani last June. The board meeting unanimously approved the nomination of Miklos Antics, who has been member of the EGEC board since 2004 and served as EGEC vice-president since 2013.

Commenting on the appointment, the new president said: “I’m looking forward to serving as President, as well as continuing the valuable work, by building on the achievements inherited from my predecessors, in fostering geothermal development and highlighting the important role of geothermal in the energy transition”.
