As the State Aid Guidelines review is ongoing, the European Commission engaged a consultation of stakeholders to collect inputs on a first version of the revised guidelines. The State Aid Guidelines have a huge impact on the type of support schemes European Member States will be able to implement to pursue their energy transition strategies. EGEC is therefore working to promote a framework where relevant solutions for the market uptake of geothermal technologies is available according to market maturity.
