  • DATE OF THE EVENT: October 6, 2020
  • TIME: 11:00 - 12:30
  • LOCATION: Gotowebinar

This webinar has been organised in the framework of the GEORISK project and as part of the European Week of regions and cities.

Investments in heating and cooling technologies happen mostly at local level, in cities and regions. However, large financial resources are not always available for local authorities and planning for renewables installations might be complex.

The webinar showed how local authorities can attract investors to finance geothermal district heating and cooling to make cities zero-carbon by 2050. It has provided some instruments and business models to facilitate the planning of geothermal projects. With a series of hot topics presented by experts, the webinar caters to investors, local authorities, and the geothermal sector in general.
