Concluded: 2011 – 2013
GeoElec produced an action plan towards more geothermal electricity generation in Europe, with the objective of doubling the installed geothermal power capacity in Europe by 2020. The project also looked at concrete actions to reach these objectives, for example conditions for financial feasibility, regulatory frameworks, and public acceptance.
GeoElec.eu is now a hub of information about geothermal electricity in Europe.
