The first Horizon Europe Strategic Plan will define the strategic orientations for Europe’s R&I investments over the period 2021-2024.
Among its recommendations, EGEC underlined the R&I funding needs for innovative technologies, like geothermal lithium.
EGEC, together with eight renewable associations, urged the European Commission to maintain the Horizon Europe budget for Cluster 5 (Climate, Energy and Mobility) and the climate-relevant parts of Cluster 4 (Digital, Industry and Space) at least at the levels outlined in the Commission’s original June 2018 proposal.
